Important collection schedules and events for UVD&R customers. 

Holiday Information

Office Holidays

Our office is closed on: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, The Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, & Christmas Day.

Collection Service Holidays

There is no collection service on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Independence Day. If those days fall on a regular service day (Monday – Friday) service will be delayed by one day. For example, if the holiday is on Monday, collection will begin on Tuesday and so on through Saturday.

Special Note About Independence Day, Monday, July 4, 2022 Holiday

The UVD&R office will be closed on Independence Day and there will be no collection service with the exception of our commercial food waste and commercial front load services as listed below.

Collection is delayed by one day for all cart services  for residential and commercial customers except commercial food waste. There is no roll-off service on Monday, July 4.

For our residential and commercial cart garbage, recycling, and compost customers, service will be delayed by one day that week.

  • Monday service moved to Tuesday, July 5
  • Tuesday service moved to Wednesday, July 6
  • Wednesday service moved to Thursday, July 7
  • Thursday service moved to Friday, July 8
  • Friday service moved to Saturday, July 9

 

The following COMMERCIAL  services WILL BE collected as usual on Monday, July 4:

  • Trash front loader bins sizes 2YD, 4YD, 6YD
  • Mixed Recycling front loader bins sizes 2YD, 4YD, 6YD
  • Green Waste front loader bins sizes 2YD, 4YD, 6YD
  • Cardboard front loader bins sizes 2YD, 4YD, 6YD
  • Glass front loader bins sizes 2YD, 4YD, 6YD
  • Food waste carts 

 

Friday, July 8, Commercial Mixed recycling service will be moved one day to July 9.

An Unflocked Christmas Tree

What to do with Christmas Trees

Your unflocked, natural trees should be composted!

  • Cut your tree into pieces no larger than 3 feet long and put them in your green compost cart (no flocked trees). Please make sure your carts aren’t overflowing.
  • Bring your tree to Clover Flat Resource Recovery Park on Silverado Trail for free until January 22nd (does not include flocked trees).
