The Upper Valley Waste Management Agency (UVWMA) and a third party consultant review all costs for the services UVD&R provides. After a thorough review, their findings were reported at a public hearing on June 28, 2021, and although not voted on at the time this insert was printed, UVWMA could adopt a 17.95% rate increase, effective July 1, 2021.
Rate increases have been very small for many years and have not kept up with increasing costs and State requirements. This increase will fund new programs, allow the member jurisdictions of the UVWMA to comply with new State regulations (including SB 1383), and provide for new, lower emission collection vehicles.
